Mother’s Day Ideas

I’m playing around with ideas for my May 2nd class in Gordonton.  Here is a couple of cards I have made so far.

I got inspiration for the card on the left  from Tanshai cant find her website.

And the one on the right is a variation from Simone Bartum.

More will come as I can create them, going back to work sucks, takes up far too much of my crafting time. !!Big Cheesy Grin!!

Pipi Pukeko Book By My Brother.

Here are some of the pages from my brother’s Te Reo Resource Book.

We had some disagreements in the making of this book, cos he wasn’t explaining himself well.

But once the arguing was over we worked really well and both He and Me are very happy with what we created.

And Yes, its Stampin’ Up product.

Early Childhood Assignment

My brother is currently training to be an Early Childhood Teacher.  He had to make two resouces that fell under the Te Reo Curriculum.

I helped him today to make Poi, I plated the wool and he cut up the foam for the head.

Then we sewed them together.

We got 16 done today and have four to finished.

He is also making a book about a cute Pokeko who introduces children to different Maori words for everyday things.

Here is some of the mess he created and the almost finished poi.

Thats his feet in the picture, he didnt want this face on my blog.

We still have to put white plastic around the head.

But they look good so far.

Oh Dear, Oh Dear

Ok I had my first class in Hamilton last night’

And I had a grand total of ….. Wait for it……

One Attendee, Yes thats right One!!!

Which was worse that I thought it would be…. I had had 4 committed.

But hay I will take it as a lesson – we live and learn as they say.

Next time I will make sure I do a friendly reminder about the class, I didnt cos I was trying to fit in too much in little time.

But my one attendee was a lovely girl, she loved the craft and got to go home with the door prize.

I also found it funny that on sunday I had 3 girls doing the same craft and they took over two hours – but the girl last night only took one.

She has also book in for the next class so there was some good news.

Now I need to book my next date and let everyone know.

It will be better next time.
