I’m BBBbbbbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkk with new ideas and new products!!!!

Ok Yes I know its been a long long long time since I last posted.

But lots of thing have been happening.

First – Mum is now in remission – and having fun running around doing alsorts of things.

I started back relieving, which I’m enjoying, I didn’t realise how much I had missed working with the kids.

I had three teeth out at the beginning of September, took awhile for me to be eating normally but at least I don’t have them causing problems any more.

I’m working on my tutoring business – Clever Cookies Tutoring – starting a website for it soon.

But lets get to the important stuff – Crafting.

I’ve been having great fun making some gorgeous things with some new products from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalouge and the Holiday Catalogue.   Just love the new glimmer paper and new framelits.  I will post some samples soon.

If you would like your own Annual Catalogue and get the Holiday Catty free – it is now only $5 (+ $3 for postage) so let me know ASAP and I’ll get it out to you.

Mother’s Day: Butterflies and Blue Nose Friends.

Ok I know I said I’ld get back to you tomorrow, and alot of tomorrows have gone by now.

But I have some really cute stuff to show you and to start with is my mums Mother’s day Present and card.

Thank you to Tanya Bell for the great tutorial that I modified to make the box.

I took it from the cute small one to the bigger size to fit mums present inside.

Now if you know my mum you know that she has to have butterflies or things have to be purple.

So inside the box is purple flowers and butterflies.

The cute little snail is called Scoot and is a member of the Blue Nose Friends Collection.

My mum has three of these cute little soft toys and I have quite a few more.

Next is the card I made my mum, it is simple but its got butterflies and purple so had to make it for her.

I cant find the photo I cased this from but when I do I most definitely will put up a name to show my appreciation.  Found out who deserves the thanks for mums care its Heather Summer Thank you for sharing your lovely layout, mum loves it.

Here is mums card that she made for nana. He he more butterflies and more purple.

Cased from SplitCoast Stampers By Prchvs.

Care of Jenny Moors – Tutorials and Awesome Inspiration.

One of my favourite crafters is Jenny Moors.  She is a UK Demonstrator and writes some lovely tutorials.

http://stampingmoments.blogspot.co.nz/  Visit her blog and get tutorials for herself.  She regularly up dates them and delievery is fast.

First Card is from her Strength and Hope Gift Set.

I love this set and even though it is retired I frequently use it for my projects.

I love using the Subtles Collection, though Rose Red is not a colour I use very often so it was nice to use a new colour.

I used DSP for the bows but you can use ribbon.

This fancy fold card was fun to make, I have made the same idea but tall, so making the long one was different.

You can make two cards out of an A4 sheet of cardstock so economical.

Next is a card from Jenny’s Flight of the Butterflies Tutorial.

My Mum loves butterflies so I always have to make her one or two cards with them on.  Especially since she has got sick, it makes her smile to see new butterfly projects.

This uses double stamping to do the main butterfly so used our Stamp-a-ma-jig, and punch art for the butterfly embellishment.  Another great way to use up your scraps.

So if you loved these cards make sure you visit Jenny’s blog and get the tutorials and many others for yourself.

Elements of Style: Simple or Detailed.

Who doesn’t love Elements of Style?  Its just an elegent set, its hard for me to not grab it first for most projects.

Here are two different takes on the set.

First cased from Kriss Huels, these simple but lovely cards are a great if you like mono tone colour choices, helps uses up some scraps and is a very versatible multi occasional card.

Next are some very elabrate cards that are just gorgous.  Multi layered cards are always beautiful and adding embossed layers adds to the elegence and appeal.

Image

Cased from Rita Wright, I did add shimmer paint to the butterflies for the mother of pearl effect.

Just Believe and Nature Walk Thank you and Friends.

Two of my favourite sets are Just Believe and Nature Walk.

Here are some lovely cards made with these sets.

I cased these cards from Mamamostamps from Slitcoast Stampers.  I just had to re-create them, the embossing is such a simple but effective embellishment.

Mamamostamps also shared these simple cards using DSP as your background and a circle.

Simple ideas but gives beautiful cards and easy assembliage.

And using our Brights Collection you have some bright, bold cards to brighten up someone’s day.

Stamping by Valerie mades some gorgous thank you cards using Nature Walk, I modified them slightly, and here they are.

Using our great Decorative Label punch and some ribbon the stamped background looks lovely.

Retired but still Rock’n’.

I have been very busy the last few weeks, keeping myself out of trouble.  I have completed over 55 cards, 4 different boxes and played with some new tutorials.

I just had to dig out some of my retired stamp sets, its sad when they are retired but it doesnt stop them from still being lovely and for the creatives juices flow with the images.

Kanji stamp set.

I just love the characters in this set and the words and means are just wonderful.
